Delete Your Account and Data
This page explains how to delete your account and your data from products operated by ZUQAH TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED — Vardham, Aram and Zournal.
You do not need to reinstall an app or contact support to make this request.
Zournal
Zournal stores all your content on your own device. We hold nothing.
To delete everything: uninstall the app, or open the app and go to Settings → Delete all data.
This permanently removes your journal entries, voice recordings, habit data and your conversation history with Zo from the encrypted database on your device. It cannot be undone and we cannot recover it, because we never had a copy.
Aram
From the app: open Aram, go to Profile → Account → Delete Account, and confirm.
By email: write to privacy@zuqah.com from the email address on your account, or include the mobile number registered to your account, with the subject "Account deletion request".
Vardham
From the app: sign in, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, and confirm. Only the account owner can delete a store.

Before you delete a Vardham store, export what you need. Once deletion completes we cannot restore it.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, login credentials and contact details
- Business and store configuration
- Products, inventory, suppliers and pricing records
- Customer records you created, including credit and outstanding balances
- Sales, purchase, payment and accounting entries
- Attendance, delivery and progress records
- Uploaded files, photographs, video and voice notes
- Support correspondence, unless an open dispute requires us to keep it
What we must retain, and why
Indian law requires us to keep certain records even after you delete your account:
- Financial and tax records relating to your subscription — invoices, payment references, amounts and dates. Retained for up to eight years as required under Indian tax and company law.
- Records needed for an ongoing legal claim, dispute or regulatory request, retained until it is resolved.
Retained records are kept in restricted storage and are not used to provide the service or for any other purpose.
Timing
We acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days. Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to a further 60 days, after which it is overwritten.
If your data was entered by a business, not by you
If you are the customer of a shop using Vardham, or the customer or student of a service provider using Aram, your details were entered by that business. That business decides what data about you is held, and is the right party to ask.
Please contact them directly. If you cannot reach them, write to privacy@zuqah.com and we will pass your request on and assist them in responding.
